A super-specialty hospital constructed jointly by Sringeri Sarada peetham and Polisetty Somasundaram group was inaugurated by Sarada peetham seer Sri Vidurasekhara Bharati. All the services in the hospital located on the outskirts of Guntur city will be free for the poor. Addressing the gathering, Sringeri peetham seer said that people should realise the value of the human life and dedicate themselves in the service of the poor and needy. He said that they should also keep in mind that Manava Seva is Madhava seva (service to human being is service to the God). He said that every human being would experience bodily illness due to various reasons. He also said that no one could escape the death. “People should always try to keep themselves fit by keeping themselves mentally fit,” advised Sringeri Seer. He said that doctors who literally pull sick people back into normal life are equal to the God and they should be treated with honour.
He showered praises on tobacco exporter Polisetty Somasundaram for supporting such a big venture to help the poor. He asked the rich people to share their money for the welfare of the poor. Industrialist Somasundaram said that constructing a hospital for the poor is his 30 years long dream. He expressed happiness for Sringeri Seer coming all the way to inaugurate the hospital. He said that they have initially planned to construct only a dialysis center but turned into a super specialty hospital. He said that emergency services in the accident cases would also be handled at the hospital. Sringeri Sarada peetham chief executive officer Gowri Sankar said that they have constructed hospitals in different cities across the country. He said that Raja Rajeswari memorial hospital of Guntur was constructed in a short span. Polisetty Somasundaram group managing director Polisetty Syamsunder and others were present. – TOI
