Wockhardt Hospital fined Rs 75K

The Nagpur Municipal Corporation’s nuisance detection team fined Wockardt Hospital (Shankar Nagar) on Saturday for disposed of biomedical waste as well as regular garbage. The hospital has been fined for infraction to the Bio-Medical Waste Management (BWM) Guidelines, which state that hospital waste should be disposed of in a scientific way. In a garbage collection truck, the hospital was discovered handing over the bio waste with solid waste on Saturday. The raid was carried out on a tip off, and the NDS squad fined the hospital Rs 75,000 after following instructions from the assistant municipal commissioner of Dharampeth zone. Times Now Bureau
