Blood donation camp held at Amrita Hospital, Faridabad

A blood donation camp was organized today at Amrita Hospital, Faridabad, by Akhil Bhartiya Terapanth Yuvak Parishad (ABTYP), the youth wing of the disciples of H.H. Acharya Mahashraman Ji, Terapanth Jain Dharm. The camp was held with the support of the Department of Blood Transfusion, Amrita Hospital. The event attracted the participation of nearly 80+ blood donors and resulted in collection of nearly 50+ units of blood.

Said Dr Sanjeev Singh, Medical Director, Amrita Hospital, Faridabad: “We are very happy to host this blood donation camp on the initiative of ABTYP. India faces a huge annual deficit of blood units. Such initiatives would go a long way in making the country self-sufficient in blood supply. I appeal to the youth of the country to donate blood regularly. It will help save people’s lives.” He also congratulated all the donors.

The ABTYP youth forum that unites the Terapanthi youth aged 21 to 45 is considered one of the world’s largest blood donor NGOs. The blood donation camp at the Amrita Hospital was 1 of the 1,000 such events organized by ABTYP today, the 72nd birthday of Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
