Brahmananda Narayana Hospital Performs Critical Brain Operation

Maintaining the continuity of curing one or other type of critical cases and bringing good to Jamshedpur in terms of medical care, Brahmananda Narayana Multispecialty hospital this time cured 50 years old man with giant brain tumor whose condition was very bad. Patient Trilochan Bauri resident of village Loulara, Kuncha, Purulia was bed ridden and not able to move properly due to serious weakness of the left side of the body. He was admitted & suggested MRI Scan by Dr Rajiv Maharshi (Neurosurgeon). MRI Showed parieto – occipital meningioma extending up to the lateral ventricles with perilesional edema and midline shift. He was advised for urgent surgery. The size of brain tumor was around 12cm x 10cm and was challenge for the team of doctors to do excision in Toto as the procedure needs high level of precision & expertise. Dr Maharshi informed that it took almost seven long hours to complete the surgery in Operation theatre. Dr Maharshi was assisted by team of surgeons and anesthetists to perform the case.
