Cabinet approves fully equipped hospital at 23rd, 25th BN of SAF

The State Cabinet here on Thursday approved work plan of Rs 12.51 crore for setting up a 50-bed fully equipped police hospital in the 23rd and 25th Battalion of Special Armed Forces (SAF) Bhopal campus, creation of 46 human resource posts for the hospital and the expenditure of Rs.24.98 crore to be made on it in 5 years.

This includes the cost of construction of police hospital building and furniture, Rs 10.41 crore and Rs 2.10 crore for the purchase of medical equipment of the hospital.

The Cabinet approved the order of the Woman and Child Development Department regarding Ladli Laxmi Yojana 2.0 to operate the Ladli Laxmi Yojana in an expanded form. This includes the proposals to organize Ladli Laxmi Day, on May 02 every year at the state, district and village panchayat level, to declare Gram Panchayats as Ladli Laxmi friendly from the district level and provision of incentive of Rs 25,000 to Ladli girls for taking admission in graduation or professional course (course duration of minimum 2 years) after Class XII.

This amount will be given in two equal installments in the first and last year of the course period. Along with this, the government has to bear the tuition fee of higher education (up to graduation) of the Ladlis and to build and upgrade the portal for smooth implementation of the activities of Ladli Laxmi Yojana 2.0. So far 42.16 lakh registrations have been done in the scheme. In this 9.05 lakh scholarships are received. This year 1330 Ladli are becoming eligible for graduation.

In line with the MSME Development Policy-2021, the Cabinet has decided to provide specific financial assistance to the manufacturing units of furniture, toys and their related value chain products. In this, industry development subsidy, interest subsidy, exemption in electricity duty, assistance in electricity tariff, reimbursement of stamp duty and registration fee, employment generation grant, export assistance etc. will be provided. This decision has been taken for the inclusive development of the state, creating employment opportunities and promoting entrepreneurship. In this, maximum 40 percent industrial development grant will be payable on fixed assets like plant, machinery, building etc.

Interest subsidy will be given at the rate of 5 percent on term loans taken from banks/financial institutions for a maximum period of Rs 2 crore per annum for 5 years. All eligible new units will be given 100 percent electricity duty exemption for 5 years from the date of high pressure power connection. High pressure power consumers will get the assistance of Rs 1 per unit for 5 years from the date of commercial production on new connection. 50 percent reimbursement will be given on the registration fee and stamp duty paid on land/bank loan documents.

25 percent cost reimbursement will be given up to a maximum of Rs 10 lakh on obtaining maximum 4 quality certificates from authorized institutions. In this way, a maximum assistance of Rs 2.5 lakh will be provided on one certificate.

The Cabinet has given its approval to relax the provisions of Madhya Pradesh Store Purchase Rules and Service Procurement Rules 2015 for purchasing materials to be supplied to the bride under the Mukhya Mantri Kanya Vivah / Nikah Yojana. Tenders will be invited offline instead of online. It will be mandatory to publish the tender in two state level newspapers. The minimum tender period will be 7 days. This relaxation in store purchase rules will be only for the events to be held from May 2022 to July 31, 2022. After this period, it will be mandatory to follow the existing provisions in the store purchase rules in marriage programs held on or after August 1, 2022. Daily Pioneer
