Cancer screening facility inaugurated at Harshamitra Hospital

An exclusive wing for master health check-up and cancer screening was inaugurated on Nagamangalam premises of Harshamitra Hospital by G. Rajasekaran, chairman, Indian Red Cross Society, Tiruchi, and secretary, Indra Ganesan Institutions, on Monday. In a statement, G. Govindaraj, managing director, Harshamitra, said the multi-speciality hospital’s recently updated diagnostic facilities included site-specific screening tests for prostate and ovarian cancer (CA -125), video laryngoscopy facility and molecular gene testing such as BRCA 1 and 2. “We are also introducing liquid biopsy, an advanced technology that can detect cancer cells through a blood test, in Tiruchi, in collaboration with OneCell Laboratories, Pune.” The Hindu
