NMMU Phek provides medical services

National Mobile Medical Unit (NMMU) Phek team comprising of GNM Keviholi and lab-tech Kenei during its monthly tour activities from March 17- 22 visited 10 villages under Meluri block.

In a press release, district media officer, NHM Phek, Kutolu Nakro informed that the MMU visits far flung villages every month and provides various service packages to the people.

The team visited Khumiasu village, Akhegwo town, Kukhegwo village, Phokhungri village, Phokhungri town, Lutsam village, New Thewati, Washelo village and Zhipu village.

Altogether, 181 people availed the services out of which eight were referred to higher facilities.

Meanwhile, a total of 34 pregnant women were provided with ante-natal check-up along with lab-tests on HB, blood sugar and malaria.

The team also conducted health talks and sensitised the people on the importance of various health issues. Nagaland Post
