Chhattisgarh CM inaugurates MRI machine in Kanker District Hospital

Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel gave a significant gift to the people of the Kanker region by inaugurating the MRI machine in the district hospital of Kanker today. Addressing this occasion, he said that the state government is determined to strengthen the health facilities and will continue to work for the betterment of health facilities with utmost commitment. He said that the people of the area would be greatly benefited by the facility of MRI tests in the district hospital.

Kanker District Hospital is the first district hospital in the state, where an MRI machine has been installed at a cost of 6 crores 49 lakhs. Patients will now start getting benefits with the help of specialist doctors. With the facility of MRI examination, accurate treatment will be done due to timely detection of diseases and patients of Kanker and surrounding areas will not have to go elsewhere for MRI.

MRI machine is a special medical examination device which can detect numerous diseases, and a successful diagnosis can be provided after a quick medical examination. MRI scan is used to detect the brain, bones and muscles, soft tissue, chest, tumour-cancer, stroke, dementia, migraine, blockage of arteries and genetic disorders. This test is done for accurate information of the disease.

Almost all parts of the body such as bones and joints, brain and spinal cord, heart and blood vessels, breasts and other internal organs such as the uterus, liver and prostate gland etc. can be examined through MRI-scan. Earlier, patients of the area were referred outside, but now MRI tests will be done in District Hospital Kanker, which will save the time of patients. Due to the quick investigation, the real cause of the diseases will be known on time and the treatment will also move in the right direction.

It is also worth mentioning that the dialysis unit and Hamar Lab are already running successfully in the Kanker District Hospital. 8 thousand 521 patients have availed free dialysis as of February 2023.
