In-vitro diagnostics is an important gateway to the management of diseases. Hence, to have quality and affordable IVD diagnostic tools is very important for effective treatment. Beacon Group of companies is committed to this objective and has covered significant ground in the last 28 years of its existence in India and foreign countries. The Group comprises of three major companies – Beacon Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd., Vector Biotek Pvt. Ltd., and Biogeny Diagnostics Pvt. Ltd.

The Group started with manufacturing serology products and then added biochemistry reagents in Beacon. In its vision to set foot in lab automation, it started with hematology and biochemistry small equipment, and expanded to add fully auto equipment, POCT, and CLIA technology in Vector. It further expanded its operation to market wide range of hematology reagents, urine chemistry equipment and reagents, and nephelometer through Biogeny.

Beacon is a serology and biochemistry reagents manufacturing company having ISO-13485 and CE certifications. The company started with serology manufacturing and then added biochemistry reagents manufacturing. In its operations, it has made serology and biochemistry testing not only very affordable, but has also made quality testing possible in small labs by increasing the stability and sustainability of its products to the domestic transportation and storage conditions.

Beacon has started its footprints in Europe market too, and has started its office in Milan, Italy, to explore the European market. Beacon has vision to explore the export market in 50 countries till end of this year.

In the second phase, the company has embarked on manufacturing specialized chemistries like the HDL/LDL cholesterol, enzymatic creatinine, ammonia, ADA, and the like, making such tests more affordable, sustainable, and reachable to smaller and suburban labs, and thereby to more segments of people.

The Beacon group added Vector Biotek for lab automation in 2002. It made available the world-class technology of biochemistry and hematology testing by importing and marketing small and affordable equipment for smaller market segments. Through its R&D efforts, Vector developed indigenous reagents, thereby making these tests very affordable and maintaining high quality. Again, Vector introduced high-end fully automated biochemistry equipment, but developed indigenous system pack reagents to continue to make quality testing very affordable. Lately, Vector has introduced the high-end immunochemistry CLIA-based technology from Snibe and POCT testing equipment.

Biogeny Diagnostics was the first company in India with the concept of generic hematology reagents for all equipment available in India. Biogeny has had successful journey in hematology market with the slogan from compulsion to choice. The company has added urine-testing equipment and reagent and also nephelometry-based equipment and reagent.

Beacon Group has future plans to continue to develop and indigenize advanced equipment technologies, contributing to Make in India project of our country with an idea to have quality diagnosis at affordable cost to our fellow countrymen.
