Emergency Care Center, 10 Ambulances for Valpoi

Health minister Vishwajit Rane, who also represents the Valpoiconstituency, on Sunday inaugurated an emergency care center (ECC) at the town’s community health center. He also launched a fleet of 10 ambulances. Rane told the gathering that the fleet comprises eight advanced, life-saving ambulances and two neonatal ambulances that will be on call to provide emergency services to people in the far-fetched area. “The ECC is equipped with state of art equipment like ventilators, defibrillators, suction apparatus, nebulizers and medications that will enable quick response to any patient,” he said, pointing out that the state’s STEMI program is also being incorporated there. “A new era ECG machine is installed that will transfer the ECG of any patient to an expert cardiologist who will study it and then suggest treatment,” the health minister said. Emergency care doctors associated with EMRI will also be made available 24×7, along with medical officers and emergency medical technicians. – TOI
