EnChroma names Mark Mattison-Shupnick COO

EnChroma, Inc. – creators of the EnChroma® Cx Series Eyewear for Color Blindness, today appointed Mark Mattison-Shupnick as Chief Operating Officer (COO) for the Company, effective immediately. Mattison-Shupnick will lead the company’s critical operations to further EnChroma’s position as the world’s leading solution for color vision enablement in the US and abroad.

A Master Optician, Mattison-Shupnick brings five decades in the eyecare industry to the role of COO, including serving with the ANSI Z80.3 working group on spectral transmittance measurements. Previously, as Vice President of Business Development for EnChroma, he successfully expanded the company’s retail network from a handful of partners in the United States to nearly 300 spanning Canada, Europe, Latin America, the Middle East and Asia. Mattison-Shupnick also spent 13 years as a Director of Education and Training with Jobson Medical Information.

As COO, Mattison-Shupnick will lead functions related to corporate operations, supply chain, technology, research and human resources. “In a time of unprecedented flux caused by COVID-19 and societal change, I look forward to working closely with all of our employees to advance EnChroma’s ideals and mission,” added Mattison-Shupnick. “I will also help to clear obstacles and allocate resources so EnChroma can further develop its understanding of color, technology and vision science to continue to innovate and make discoveries that enhance the lives of those with vision challenges.”- MB Bureau
