GE HealthCare Imaging CEO Jan Makela to step down

GE HealthCare Chief Executive Officer, Imaging, Jan Makela has announced to step down and join another company.

Makela has informed the company of his decision to resign and take up the chief executive role at a private company.

Makela has been associated with GE Healthcare for more than 17 years. He recently collaborated with Mayo Clinic on imaging and AI.

Makela also led acquisitions including the purchase of Imactis, which makes CT navigation technology, and MIM Software.

The company has not yet named an interim CEO for the Imaging division, nor has it provided a timeline for when it expects to announce Makela’s successor. This move is part of the natural ebb and flow of executive management within large corporations.

Makela’s last day at the Company will be on July 8, 2024.
