Government Adopting Tech For Better Healthcare: Eatala

Hyderabad: In a bid to provide quality treatment to patients from poor financial backgrounds, the government is keen on adopting robotic surgery technology, said health minister Eatala Rajender.

Addressing the media after inaugurating a Robotic Assisted Joint Replacement & Advance Orthopaedics Centre at Medicover Hospitals on Thursday, the minister said, “Such technologies should be adopted for the benefit of poor people and I request Medicover Hospitals to extend such services under Aarogyasri and EHS schemes.”

Robotics-assisted surgery combines artificial intelligence, augmented reality and the surgeon’s mind who control the robot to achieve perfect results.

Access to good healthcare is the basic need of every individual and the country needs sustainable and better healthcare facilities, said Dr Anil Krishna, MD of Medicover Hospitals.-Times Of India
