Heart Valve Therapy Program at Apollo Hospitals in Hyderabad

FACTS Foundation, a non-profit organization of cardiologists and cardiac surgeons, is collaborating with Columbia Hospitals to establish a State-of-the-art ‘Heart Valve Therapy Program’ at Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad. According to a press release, the heart valve therapy program will feature Columbia heart valve therapy experts who will perform complicated heart procedures like Transcatheter Aortic Valve Replacement (TAVR) at Apollo Hospitals, Hyderabad. The program will enable patients to seek the world-class TAVR care in the city without the need to travel to United States and rescuing several critical patients from imminent heart failure and at a much lesser cost than they would incur abroad.

As part of the initiative to set-up a heart valve therapy program, the FACTS Foundation also organized a two-day conference ‘Cardiac Insights’ on the latest advances in Cardiology and Cardiothoracic surgery. The conference was attended by over 300 cardiologists and cardiac surgeons from across the country and over 50 senior faculty members including five specialists from healthcare institutions across the world. Dr Susheel K Kodali, Director of Columbia Heart Valve Therapy in New York, Dr. Juan Grenada, CEO of Cardiovascular Research Foundation in New York, Dr Ajay Kirtane, Director, Cardiac Cath Lab in New York Presbyeterian Hospital and Dr Gokul Reddy, Cardiologist were present at the conference. – Telangana Today
