H&FW scale up healthcare services in rural areas

In an effort to scale up health care services in rural areas, the department of Health and Family Welfare, Wokha organised a Reproductive Child Health (RCH) camp at Nyiro Primary Health Centre Wokha on March 12.

Addressing the participants of the camp, deputy chief medical officer, Wokha, Dr. Zuben Kikon informed that the RCH camp was organised to make health care services more accessible in rural areas.

Therefore, he called upon the inhabitants of Niroyo, Yimkha and Yanthamo villages to avail the free health care services. Dr.Kikon also encouraged the beneficiaries to complete their Covid-19 vaccination schedule to develop strong immunity.

Yanthamo Village Chairman, Yitsabemo Odyuo extended gratitude to the medical team for conducting the RCH camp.

During the camp, the medical team led by Dr. Zuben Kikon Dy CMO Wokha screened more than hundred beneficiaries and services such as Red Blood Sugar test, Blood Pressure, sterilization, family planning counselling and health check-up were carried out.
