International SOS India expands operations, sets up office in Mumbai

International SOS India recently celebrated the opening of its new office in Mumbai, a significant development following the expansion of its Delhi assistance center. Positioned in Andheri East, this office is poised to become a central point for the company’s ongoing growth and outreach efforts.

The Mumbai facility is designed to echo International SOS’s focus on client needs, offering comprehensive support to organizations and governments in managing medical and security risks for their overseas personnel. It features an occupational health clinic that delivers a wide array of Occupational, Medical, and Assistance Services globally. This addition is expected to bolster the company’s presence in India, increasing its workforce to over 500 employees.

Jing Tan, Regional General Manager & Director, Southeast Asia at International SOS, said “International SOS’s expanded presence underscores the significance of financial capitals as major hubs for business, complemented by robust and expanding service sectors. India’s continued attraction of global investment is evident, and the opening of International SOS’s new office further solidifies India’s growing position in the global marketplace. As we celebrate 26 years of service in India, this new office not only marks our presence in this vibrant city but also highlights our commitment to nurturing innovation and collaboration within our talented team.”

India stands as a pivotal strategic location for International SOS, housing many client organizations and serving as a recruitment hub for a diverse and skilled workforce. It is vital for assembling medical and security teams that assist client businesses in risk assessment and management for their global workforce. Additionally, India functions as a Centre of Excellence for specific International SOS Group operations and the headquarters for the Indian Subcontinent.

Neeraj Balani, Managing Director, International SOS, India, commented “Increasing globalization has enabled many Indian organizations to send employees abroad, often to challenging locations. Indian organizations are also more aware of their duty of care responsibilities. We are investing in this new office to further extend our ability to proactively manage the risks faced by our clients’ globally deployed and local employees. Our robust growth from 100 colleagues to over 500 within the International SOS group of companies over the last five years stands as a testament to the escalating demand for our services in the country. The India team is very experienced in carrying out thousands of interventions and evacuations each year.”

The launch of the new Mumbai office signifies International SOS India’s readiness to navigate future challenges, backed by a skilled team, a commitment to innovation, and a focus on safeguarding the health and well-being of organizations throughout the country. Travel And Tour World
