Johnson & Johnson Appoints Pat Smallcombe as Group Chairman, EMEA Consumer

Johnson & Johnson Consumer announces the appointment of Pat Smallcombe to the position of Group Chairman, Europe, Middle East, Africa (EMEA), effective January 1, 2019. Smallcombe will have leadership roles for the Consumer EMEA area, providing growth and a larger market share for such beloved brands in the region as JOHNSON’S Baby, LE PETIT MARSEILLAIS, NEUTROGENA, and LISTERINE. Smallcombe recently served as President, One J & J Southeast Asia (SEA), where he was responsible for the brand left by Johnson & Johnson in this same market, covering the areas, Janssen, Medical Devices and Consumer. As an experienced global leader, Smallcombe previously held positions at Johnson & Johnson Asia, Pacific, EMEA and North America, joining Johnson & Johnson in 2016 as part of the Pfizer Consumer Health (PCH) acquisition.

Smallcombe began his career as a pharmaceutical research scientist and later served as President of the Proprietary Association of Great Britain (PAGB), with a clear goal of shaping the personal care market and fostering the personal care of patients. He also has previous management experience at Pfizer Consumer Healthcare as Director and Vice President for Research & Development Europe.
