Make, trade, and grow with India

The medical devices industry in India is the 4th largest in Asia and among the top 30 in the world. It is a highly capital-intensive industry and boasts immense potential in terms of skilled manpower and research and development.

The Government of India has taken a great initiative by starting Make in India, to make and encourage companies to develop, manufacture and assemble products made in India and incentivize dedicated investments into manufacturing. The policy approach was to create a conducive environment for investments, develop a modern and efficient infrastructure, and open new sectors for foreign capital. The initiative targeted 25 economic sectors for job creation and skill enhancement and aimed to transform India into a global design and manufacturing export hub.

Initiatives of the Indian government, like Make in India and Atmanirbhar Bharat have given a much-needed thrust to the domestic manufacturing of medical devices in the country.

As an Indian medical device organization for the past 40+ years in the field of life saving equipment has marked its presence in the healthcare industry as a leading manufacturer and exporter of anaesthesia, operation theatre, intensive care, and emergency equipment. With an ISO 9001:2008 and ISO 13485:2003 certification, we are well-known manufacturers, exporters, and traders of a huge gamut of hospital equipment. Under this brand name, we offer anesthesia machines, anaesthesia workstations, anaesthesia ventilator, anaesthesia vaporizers and much more.

We are backed by a state-of-the-art infrastructural unit that covers a vast area and is equipped with latest machines, production methods, and tools to manufacture bulk quantities of products in a streamlined manner. Our departments are fully equipped with modern amenities for enabling smooth operations. We are supported by an adroit team of professionals, which always tries to develop innovative equipment. We follow all required pharma norms and have implemented total quality management. We are engaged in some major projects like Sri Sathya Sai Institute of Higher Medical Sciences, Puttaparthi and Sri Ramachandra Medical College, Chennai, AIIMS, LNJPN Hospital, and R&R (Army) Hospital. Our core expertise and extraordinary resources have led us to serve some well-known clients like Safdarjung Hospital, LNJP, R&R Hospital, and much more.

Allied Medical Limited (AML) has taken futuristic steps and established one of the most modern state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities for complete line of life saving medical equipment. This new facility has 2,00,000 sq. Ft. production floor space which is the largest, most modern facility in India for manufacturing lifesaving medical devices. When India was battling with Covid-19 pandemic, several state governments are grappling with a shortage of ventilators, primarily because of lack of domestic manufacturing and supply of ventilators. AML was the only manufacturing company that was able to deliver all the ventilators ordered by the Indian Government within stipulated timelines. We had a capacity of producing and delivering 50 ventilators a day when we were operating in our old facility but with new plant in Bhiwadi having a covered area five time more than that of our old plant this capacity has increased to multiple folds.

This new facility has a clean area, service facility and a strong dedicated R&D division that focuses on using new and existing technologies to develop innovative solutions that answer todays and future healthcare needs at a most affordable cost to our citizens. With an increased capacity, AML plans to manufacture parts, components, sub-assemblies, and complete devices to cater to India and for global requirements.

Apart from the manufacturing facility, we also understand, intensive care and operating theatre medical staff plays a crucial role in the management of and the upkeep of the devices, which are expensive and life-saving in nature. It is very important to educate and train them on both the aspects of application and the maintenance.

So, being a manufacturer, we have earmarked a full-fledged training centre and conference hall in the new facility to conduct ongoing courses to strengthen the knowledge, introducing the upcoming new technologies, trouble shooting, maintenance of the equipment, the current mode of operation, dos, and don’ts in the operating of the equipment. By continuing this program, we are sure, we will be able to create a more technical work force to cater to the patients professionally and confidently.
