Medtronic reveals 4-year partnership with Karl Storz

After 4 years of informal partnerships, Medtronic and Karl Storz officially made their partnership public. The companies have worked together to integrate Karl Storz’s 3D vision systems and visualization components into Medtronic’s robotic-assisted surgical platform. As a result of the partnership, Medtronic will include the most-recent-generation of Karl Storz’s Image1 S 3D platform in its robotic system. Medtronic has developed the robotic platform with inputs from surgeons around the world.
