Monthly Tracker – Greenfield and brownfield projects announced by hospitals in Feb-March 2024

Medical Buyer brings to its readers plans of various hospital and diagnostic center companies. These could be brownfield or greenfield investments.

India is set to witness the setting up of many hospitals in the near future. Significant efforts are being made to expand healthcare infrastructure across various regions. These initiatives underscore a commitment to improving access to quality medical services.

Several hospitals ranging from primary care centers to specialized medical facilities have been inaugurated in various states. The funding allocated by the government has played a crucial role in supporting these endeavors, facilitating the establishment of new healthcare institutions and the enhancement of existing ones. Healthcare remains the top priority for PE firms in India. There is a ₹17-lakh crore capital that is required to bridge the demand–supply gap that exists in quality healthcare supply. Private equity is playing an important role to bridge that gap.

The data reflects a diverse array of healthcare projects, including the inauguration of multi-specialty hospitals, medical colleges, cancer institutes, and Ayush centers. By investing in both urban and rural areas, policymakers aim to ensure equitable access to healthcare services across the country, irrespective of geographic location or socio-economic status.
