MoU Signed with ENT Department of Mahant Indiresh Hospital

The Department of Empowerment of Persons with Disability (Handicapped), Government of India has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the ENT department of Mahant Indiresh Hospital here under the Assistance to Disabled Persons for purchase/fitting of Aids and Appliances (ADIP) scheme. Under the scheme, children below the age of 5 years having problem in hearing and speaking would be treated free of cost. The Medical Superintendent of the hospital, Dr Vinay Rai said that facility of Cochlear Implant surgery facility will be available under the ADIP scheme for children under the age of 5 yearrs and the children under the age of 12 years who have lost the capacity to hear after learning how to speak. – Daily Pioneer
