New medical equipment inaugurated at Shija Hospital

The inauguration ceremony of “The Project for Provision of Eye Medical Equipment at Shija Hospital”, under the Grant Assistance for Grassroots Projects (GGP) scheme, was held on Wednesday at Shija Hospital, Langol, Imphal.

It was attended by the Embassy of Japan, Economic & Development Minister Shingo Miyamoto; Embassy of Japan, GGP project coordinator, Babita; Shija Foundation president.

RK Nimai (retired IAS) and Shija Hospital and Research Centre MD, Dr Kh Palin as presidium members.

The medical equipment included Glaucoma Laser, Visual Field Analyzer, B-scan with UBM and AS-OCT among others, said a release issued by Shija Foundation.

Speaking on the occasion, Dr Kh Palin stated that Shija Hospital has been providing medical care to not only the people of Manipur but of the neighbouring states and even from Myanmar.

Dr Kh Palin further extended his appreciation to the Embassy of Japan and stated that the new equipment will enhance the capabilities of the hospital in providing medical care to the public. The Sangai Express
