National Green Tribunal on Monday summoned Bihar Pollution Control Board for not taking any action against the hospitals in the state that violated Bio Medical Waste rules.
A petition was filed by an NGO regarding this with the NGT represented by advocate Gaurav Bansal,and replying to the green court in the same matter the Bihar PCB said it had already issued preclosure notices to more than 8000 hospital in this concern as they did not obey with Bio Medical Waste Rules 2016.
However, expressing anguish on non implementation of the said rules, a Bench headed by Justice Raghuvendra Singh Rathore summoned Member secretary of Bihar PCB.
The next date scheduled for hearing in this matter is August 28. – United News of India
