Nidek Medical India

We are a country with diverse population, 66 percent of which still resides in rural areas. Providing quality healthcare in these locations is often a challenge. As per statistics, 1 out of every 4 Indians suffers from a heart disease and this is one of the largest causes of death. Most who suffer a cardiac arrest or a stroke need immediate ventilator support. But due to lack of its availability or incompetence of application, the patient misses out on his last ray of hope. As a healthcare equipment provider, it is also challenging for us to maintain ventilators at far-flung locations. We have noticed that remotely located government hospitals end up buying ventilators, but are unable to use them due to lack of training or competent staff. This is also due to a ventilator’s complicated operation. Many a times, the patient needs to be shifted to a specialty hospital for better care. Even in situations like these, a transport ventilator becomes an utmost necessity. So where is the solution?

Nidek Medical India has been providing unique solutions in India for over 2 decades. To match the need to caregiving in today’s busy life, we have built our very foundation on the principle of service at door step. With a nationwide sales, service, and distribution network we have a competent team, which is working to address the needs of modern healthcare. With a wide range of products for home care, respiratory care and critical care, Nidek Medical India stands tall in a competitive environment amongst top global companies. We do not just believe in launching a product. We believe in offering a solution.

We have recently introduced the Oxymag emergency ventilator, which offers a wide variety of applications and can comfortably address the need of small and remote hospitals. Not only does it equip their ICU and ER but would also work to fulfill transport needs. The Oxymag weighs just 3 kg and is capable enough to support a premature baby to a full-grown adult in an ICU and during transport. This all-purpose emergency ventilator works on Venturi technology and can be driven just by connecting an oxygen cylinder to it. It has an intuitive interface with a touch screen which makes it user friendly and easy to use. It has all pressure- and volume-controlled modes that are required to manage a patient in an ICU or during transport. With over 6 hours of battery backup, it can act as a reliable companion to a patient not only in areas where electric supply is a problem, but even during transportation. In addition to this, it offers proximal flow sensing for accurate results, EtCo2 and SpO2 measurement, low-flow oxygen therapy and last but not the least non-invasive ventilation capability. A remote assistance facility enables us to maintain and troubleshoot Oxymagdevices, which are installed in remote locations. TheOxymag is also a perfect fit for Ground and Air Ambulances.

In India, lot of smaller hospitals end up buying refurbished/end of life ventilators due to budget constraints. But they are neither reliable nor as capable as modern ventilators. Consequently, the patient’s life is at stake. Such hospitals will also be able to afford Oxymag and have better patient management capability.

As our country aspires to upgrade its healthcare infrastructure, products like Oxymag are a true need of the hour. There was time when emergency rooms were not equipped with patient monitors.

But now one will see patient monitors installed in every ER and ward. If you ever visit emergency room of any large government hospital like AIIMS or PGI, you will see an endless queue of patients who are waiting to be provided a ventilator. Their attendant sits beside them trying to resuscitate them with a manual bag while the patient is just grappling for life and also being mis-ventilated. Like a patient monitor, a ventilator should also be provided with every possible bed. With that as a thought process, ventilators like the Oxymag can do wonders in shaping the modern healthcare.
