According to a report by Insider, this round of Oracle layoffs has largely impacted within the company’s health unit Cerner. While the exact number of people impacted by these job cuts is not known, it is expected to be in hundreds.

The report adds that Oracle’s health unit, one that is impacted by these layoffs, includes electronic medical records firm Cerner which it acquired in December for $28.3 billion. It has also been reported that these layoffs at Oracle were largely due to Cerner’s challenged work with the US Department of Veterans Affairs.
