PCMC ties up with housing societies to augment medical facilities

A significant step towards improving healthcare access in Pimpri-Chinchwad, the Pimpri-Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) and representatives from Housing Society Federations convened to discuss and agree on the utilization of various medical facilities and aid provided by PCMC at its network of hospitals and clinics. The meeting also outlined PCMC’s plan to deploy health volunteers to ensure the delivery of essential medical assistance at the grassroots level.

Under the purview of the PCMC Medical Department, several initiatives are set to be rolled out, including medical camps, health awareness webinars, child vaccination camps, and senior citizen health awareness programs. These endeavours aim to bolster healthcare access and knowledge within the community.

An informative session was conducted during the meeting, shedding light on the medical facilities, the hospitals’ dedicated staff, and the range of services they offer.

The meeting was presided over by Additional Medical and Health Officer, Dr Abhay Dadewar, who played a pivotal role in fostering collaboration between the PCMC and Housing Society Federations.

The meeting saw active participation from key figures representing various housing society federations, including Arun Deshmukh from Pimpri Chinchwad Cooperative Housing Societies Federation, Sanjeevan Sangale from Chikhli Moshi Housing Societies Federation, Prajakta Rudravar representing Ravet Housing Federation, Sachin Londhe, Vice President of Pimpri Chinchwad Cooperative Housing Societies Federation, and Hitesh Rahangdale from Ravet. This diverse group of federation representatives plays a pivotal role in efforts to enhance medical facilities and healthcare awareness within the Pimpri-Chinchwad community. Punekar News
