HBM Healthcare invests Rs 14.85cr in Sakar Healthcare

Sakar Healthcare on Friday announced that Swiss-based HBM Healthcare Investments; a leading global healthcare private equity recently invested Rs14.85cr in the company through its wing COBRA.

According to Sakar Healthcare, HBM Healthcare Investments through COBRA actively invests in the human medicine, biotechnology, medical technology and diagnostics sectors and other healthcare-related areas. The company holds and manages an international portfolio of high growth companies.

With funding from HBM, Sakar will expand and scale its Oncology manufacturing operations. This investment affirms Sakar’s business strategy to enter into the largest and the fastest-growing Oncology therapeutic segment, as well as its strong growth prospects.

Sakar is one the fastest growing pharmaceutical companies in India, engaged in manufacturing and marketing of premium medicines with a product portfolio of 155 formulations in more than 23 therapeutic areas.

Notably, the company’s s Liquid & Lyophilized injectable facility received EU GMP approval in March 2020. The company has recently set up a research-driven backwardly integrated Oncology manufacturing unit.

At around 3.12 pm, Sakar Healthcare was trading at Rs134 per piece down by Rs12.60 or 8.6% on Sensex. India Infoline
