Teslake to develop mini spine robots

Teslake, a medical device manufacturer, is starting a series A capital raise to support the development of “mini spine robots” and their antimicrobial proprietary alloy.

The mini robots under development are designed to assist spine surgeons and guide the spine to its natural position, according to a Sept. 21 company news release. The devices aim to improve precision and enhance safety.

Teslake’s Guardinium alloy is designed to kill bacteria, viruses, and fungi on contact. It is similar in strength to stainless steel.

“These flagship technologies are exciting because they are not only applicable in spine surgery, but across a broad range of surgical specialties,” Teslake CEO and cofounder, Stephen Foti, said in the release. Becker’s Spine Review
