Tripura to recruit 414 medical officers to boost healthcare service

In a significant move to bolster healthcare infrastructure, the Tripura government, led by Chief Minister Dr Manik Saha, announced a series of initiatives during the recent Assembly session. The Chief Minister highlighted the recruitment of 226 General Duty Medical Officers, 172 Specialist Medical Officers, and 16 Super Speciality Medical Officers.

Dr Saha, who also serves as the Health Minister, revealed that the Finance Department has given the nod for the recruitment of 226 General Duty Medical Officers under the Tripura Health Service. Additionally, files for the recruitment of 172 Specialist Medical Officer positions and 16 Super Specialist Medical Officer positions have been forwarded for approval.

Expressing gratitude to the dedicated healthcare professionals, Dr Saha acknowledged the tireless efforts of doctors and paramedical staff in the Department of Health and Family Welfare. He emphasized their vigilance and hard work, which have been instrumental in delivering healthcare services to the people of the state.

Highlighting the government’s commitment to improving medical services, Dr Saha stated, “Various measures are actively being implemented to enhance healthcare services for the citizens. Advertisements have been issued to fill some vacant positions within the Department of Health.”

The Chief Minister further informed that advertisements have been released for the recruitment of 200 Pharmacists (Allo), 22 Pharmacists (Homeo), 25 Pharmacists (Ayur), and 143 Laboratory Technicians, reflecting the comprehensive approach towards strengthening the healthcare workforce in Tripura.
