Trivitron’s Kiran launches wide range of advanced radiology equipment

Kiran Medical Systems, the radiology division of Trivitron Healthcare launched a complete portfolio of advanced digital X-ray systems, DSA C-arm, modular smart OT solutions, and Satin Touch radiation protection products at Traumacon 2018, Mumbai. The radiation protection portfolio of Kiran now features the antimicrobial Satin Touch fabric with the choice of three core materials – leadlite, ultralite, and zerolead. The products conform to norms of CE as per European Council’s medical device directive (MDD) 93/42/EC and personal protective equipment (PPE) regulation EU 2016/425. Kiran radiation protection products conform to European Standards EN 61331-1 2014, EN 61331-3 2014, and ASTM 2547.

The range of radiology equipment is made cost-effective for the Indian market by adhering to the company’s inherent Make in India philosophy. With 50–65 percent of the entire raw materials designed and manufactured from scratch in India, there is a significant cost reduction in the development of the equipment subsequently enabling the brand to make the products available at affordable prices. This also helps in leveraging local technological competence and entrepreneurial mindset to the global market thereby promoting Indian products and solutions designed to increase efficiency at reduced costs at an international level.
