UP’s first medical device park to be built in Noida

Uttar Pradesh’s first ‘Medical Device Park’ is set to be built in Noida’s YEDA City by the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority. For this, the responsibility of making a Detailed Project Report (DPR) has been given to Kalam Institute of Health and Technology (KIHT), an institution established in July 2017 in Visakhapatnam, named after Dr APJ Abdul Kalam.

For the first Medical Device Park of the UP, about 250 acres of land has been identified in Sector 28 near Yamuna Expressway in Noida.

The Uttar Pradesh government has instructed KIHT to submit the DPR by December 5, after which the report will be sent to the Government of India.

Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority has been named the State Implementing Agency for the Medical Device Park.

The Medical Device Parks are aimed to support the Make in India initiative and provide world-class products at an affordable price for treatment in the country. – India Today
