Aster DM Healthcare to develop sustainable solutions with Siemens Healthineers

Aster DM Healthcare that operates across the GCC and Germany-headquartered Siemens Healthineers will develop in partnership sustainable healthcare solutions in the UAE and broader GCC, according to a joint statement from the companies.

The partnership, executed by Eurohealth Systems, will focus on technology upgradation, digital optimisation, training, capacity building and clinical workflow optimisation.

Key areas of the partnership include ongoing supply, maintenance, and life cycle management of medical technology across multiple sites, supported by digital solutions to optimise workflows and to enhance clinical delivery. Additionally, to build up and maintain a required knowledge base across Aster DM Healthcare’s entities, Siemens Healthineers will provide educational services for medical professionals to expand clinical capabilities and further empower the medical teams to offer outstanding patient care.

Aster DM Healthcare Limited is one of the largest private healthcare service providers operating in GCC and in India, with 27 hospitals, 118 clinics, 323 pharmacies and 66 labs & patient experience centres in seven countries.

In November 2021, ITP.net’s sister publication Arabian Business reported that the healthcare firm had considered splitting its geographical arms. Aster has focused increasingly on expansion in India and plans to add hundreds of hospital beds in the South Asian nation. While it has over half its hospitals in India, the local market accounted for just under a quarter of its revenue for the six months to September 30. ITP.net
