Beacon appoints Dr PK Desai as scientific advisor

The Beacon Board has appointed Dr Pradip K. Desai as advisor. In the Indian diagnostics industry, Dr Desai is regarded as a leading figure due to the contributions he has made to its development. As a doctor, he is an experienced professional with over 40 years in Span Diagnostics Ltd. India, where he developed many indigenous products to replace imported ones during that tenure. He is currently the President of Span Diagnostics Sarl, France.

As a pathologist, Dr Desai has held many important positions in the past, such as president, ADMI, member of FCCI’s Biotechnology Committee, and member of the FCCI’s expert group for immunodiagnostics. In addition to having affiliated with several prominent research institutes around the world, Dr Desai has published more than 20 scientific papers.
