China chemiluminescence analyzers market to reach USD 45M by 2033

Owing to the growing number of cases with infectious and cardiovascular diseases, chemiluminescence analyzers are gaining interest in China due to their high sensitivity and specificity. Against this backdrop, China’s chemiluminescence analyzers market is anticipated to reach $45 million in 2033, forecasts GlobalData, a leading data and analytics company.

GlobalData’s report, ‘Immunochemistry Analyzers Market Size (Value, Volume, ASP) by Segments, Share, Trend and SWOT Analysis, Regulatory and Reimbursement Landscape, Procedures, and Forecast to 2033’, reveals that China accounts for over 11% of the Asia-Pacific (APAC) chemiluminescence analyzers market in 2023 and is expected to grow at a compound annual growth rate (CAGR) of around 8% between 2023 and 2033.

Recently, Fapon, a China-based life sciences company, announced the launch of Shine i8000/9000, a chemiluminescence immunoassay system, in international markets during July 2023 AACC exhibition. With enhanced testing performance for better diagnosis, the product is expected to meet the growing demand from laboratories for chemiluminescence analyzers.

Diksha Balmuchu, Medical Devices Analyst at GlobalData, comments: “Diagnostic companies and laboratories worldwide are rapidly striving to adjust their testing capabilities to meet the current surge in demand. Quick and accurate diagnosis drives timely treatment, and lack of access to high-quality diagnostics is a substantial contributor to the health burden in settings with limited resources.”

Fapon’s new chemiluminescence immunoassay system is designed to address the pressing demand for high-throughput testing instruments. It offers a testing speed of 900 tests per hour, almost twice the speed of currently available chemiluminescence analyzers in the market, such as ADVIA Centaur XPT and UniCel DxI 800, leading to a reduced sample turnover time and significantly improved laboratory efficiency.

Balmuchu concludes: “China is one of the top contributors to the in vitro diagnostic analyzers market in APAC. Advanced and high-performing diagnostic systems such as Shine i8000/9000 have the potential to become significant assets in the analyzers market, offering an efficient and integrated diagnosis. However, affordability is crucial for improved diagnosis and treatment, so it should be addressed.” GlobalData
