CM Stalin lays stone for a new building at hospital site in Chennai

Tamil Nadu chief minister MK Stalin laid the foundation stone for a new building at Periyar Nagar government peripheral hospital in Kolathur, Chennai on 8 March, 2023.

The project will be developed at a cost of Rs 71.81 crore. The hospital, which will be housed in a three-storey building, will have a special ward for people with disabilities.

The hospital has been operational for more than 37 years, and in August 2021 it was upgraded to a 300-bed facility. It is outfitted with a dialysis ward, modern operation theatres, paediatric intensive care units and scan centres, and provides advanced life-support ambulance facility.

The hospital witnesses a minimum of 2,500 visitors every day. Projects Today
