Modi Lays Foundation Stone of Three Health Projects, Inaugurates Cancer Institute from Kurukshetra

Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday laid the foundation stone of three major Health and Ayush department projects at the cost of about Rs 1550 crore and inaugurated National Cancer Institute (NCI) at the cost of about Rs 2035 crore at Badhsa village in Jhajjar from Kurukshetra. The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of Shri Krishna Ayush University, Kurukshetra, which is first of its kind in the world. The University would be constructed on about 94.5 acres at an estimated cost of about Rs 475 crore. It would provide the facility of education and treatment through Ayurveda, Yoga, Unani, Siddha and Homeopathic medical systems. Similarly, Modi also laid the foundation stone of Pandit Deen Dayal Upadhayaya University of Health Sciences, Karnal and National Institute of Ayurveda, Panchkula. – United News of India
