Odisha lays foundation stone for 19 KIMS rural hospitals

Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Tuesday laid the foundation stone of 19 KIMS rural hospitals across Odisha.

Patnaik laid the foundation of these Rural hospitals to be developed by KIMS Bhubaneswar while inaugurating the newly constructed KIMS Kalarabank Rural Hospital in Cuttack district and launching the Kalarabank Smart Village.

Speaking on the occasion, Patnaik said every individual must do something for their village and their birthplace and lauded the efforts of KIIT and KISS

founder Dr Achyuta Samanta who has dedicated himself to doing everything possible for his village and birth land.

The Chief Minister expressed his happiness that the KIMS hospital would be setting up 100-bed hospitals in 19 districts of the state.

In his welcome address, Dr Samanta said, Odisha has moved forward in all fields starting from education and health under the leadership of the Chief Minister.

He said while the KIMS Rural Hospital in Kalarabank, was inaugurated on Tuesday the construction of KIMS Rural Hospitals in 19 locations in Odisha has begun.

Similarly, in the smart village of Kalarabanka, Samant said all kinds of urban facilities are also provided for the villagers.

On the upcoming hospitals, Samant said each hospital will have 100 beds, and construction of each of them is estimated to cost Rs.50 crores.

These hospitals will be air-conditioned and will offer state-of-the-art healthcare services. Each of the rural hospitals will employ 150 young men and women and all of them will be functioning under the aegis of KIMS Bhubaneswar, Samant said. United News of India
